Located in Barangay Maaslum, Municipality of Ayungon, Province of Negros Oriental, the project area is approximately between 9°50’30" and 9°52’00" North latitude and 123°03’30" and 123°05’00” East longitude.The Municipality of Ayungon can be accessed from Dumaguete City via the National Highway which runs along the eastern coastline of the island of Negros; passing through the Municipalities of Sibulan, San Jose, Amlan, Tanjay City, Bais City, Manjuyod and Bindoy.  Travel time via private vehicles is approximately 1.5-2 hours.  From Ayungon proper near Tampocon Bridge, an unpaved barangay road of about eight km leads to the project area.
